The AMP 50 TM is the most compact version of the COT series. The circuit has been modified to give cleaner tones at the bottom of the gain / bias sweep and dirtier tones at the top. It can function as a clean boost, dirty boost, stand alone OD or gnarly fuzz box depending on the amplifier used, guitar vol. adjustment and gain / bias control setting. This version will also stack unbelievably well with other drive units leading to increased sustain, tone and overall dynamics..

It is one magical little box that I have had years to perfect.
Players seeking a myriad of subtle break-up tones are in for a real treat.
Between the COT, and the guitar's volume knob, you can get everything from early Hendrix to Billy G.

The genius of the COT 50 is in its simplicity. The single bias knob acts as an overdrive control, ranging from just a touch of grind at the lowest setting to a truly hot and bothered high-gain roar when maxed out. Apart from the bias knob and true bypass stomp switch, there are no other controls.

Delightfully transparent gain control that can be manipulated entirely with picking dynamics and the guitar’s onboard volume. Rotated counterclockwise, it adds a hint of grit and rattle to complex chords, a woofy subharmonic to two-note intervals, and a toothy bite to single-note lines. At the “high noon” setting, the overdrive becomes more belligerent, yet still absolutely respectful. At full tilt, with sustain as thick and tasty as butterscotch, you can always roll back the volume knob and regain a clean, clear tone that absolutely respects complex chords and pick transients and always sound like the guitar and amp in use.
